1. Use Moisture Absorbers
Products like the E-150 Eliminator or DampRid are designed to pull moisture from the air. Place one (or more, depending on the size of your unit) in your space and check it regularly. Replace them as needed, especially during humid months.
2. Elevate Items Off the Floor
Even in dry units, condensation can form on the concrete floor. Use wooden pallets or plastic shelving to keep boxes and furniture elevated. This allows airflow and helps prevent direct contact with any unexpected dampness.
3. Use Plastic Bins Instead of Cardboard
Cardboard boxes are vulnerable to absorbing moisture, which can weaken them and lead to mold. Opt for airtight plastic containers for long-term storage—they offer better protection and are reusable.
4. Store Only Clean, Dry Items
